## Beschreibung

Als die Siedler 1953 in Eigenregie die «Freedom Road» durch die Schlucht sprengten, endete Bella Coolas Isolation am Ende eines tiefen Fjords – heute ergänzt der Flughafen QBC diese Strassenverbindung aus der Luft. Pacific Coastal Airlines fliegt von Vancouver in das Tal der Nuxalk Nation, ein Tor zu Grizzlys und zum Great Bear Rainforest. Ein Frachtterminal gibt es nicht; Luftfracht reist als Beiladung, der Rest kommt über Highway 20 oder per Küstenschiff. Speditionsgut wird über Vancouver (YVR) gebündelt und weitergeleitet.
