## Beschreibung

AISATS, das Joint Venture von Air India und Singapore Airport Terminal Services, wickelt seit Februar 2024 gemeinsam mit AAICLAS die Inlandsfracht am Birsa Munda Airport in Ranchi ab. Das 2017 eröffnete Frachtterminal ist auf rund 50 Tonnen pro Tag ausgelegt und verfügt über Röntgenanlagen und Sprengstoffdetektoren für die Sicherheitskontrolle. Ranchi bedient als Kapitale von Jharkhand eine der rohstoffreichsten Regionen Indiens mit Stahl-, Kohle- und Maschinenbauindustrie. Internationale Sendungen müssen über Kolkata oder Delhi geroutet werden, da IXR ausschliesslich Inlandsverkehr abfertigt. Passagierseitig verbinden IndiGo und Air India die Stadt mit Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata und weiteren Metropolen.
