Ab dem 25. Oktober 2026 verbindet United den Central Wisconsin Airport (CWA/KCWA) bei Mosinee neu direkt mit dem Drehkreuz Chicago-O'Hare. Schon zuvor bedienen American, Delta und United die Region zwischen Wausau und Stevens Point, einen Linienfrachtführer unterhält der Flughafen jedoch nicht. Das berühmteste Exportgut der Gegend – der Ginseng aus Marathon County, das den Grossteil der US-Ernte stellt – reist in Containern per Lkw und Schiff nach Asien, nicht über die Piste. Luftfracht aus Zentralwisconsin bündelt sich entlang der Interstate 39 in Milwaukee (MKE) oder im Hub Minneapolis–St. Paul (MSP).
