Ein Inlandterminal ist eine landseitige Umschlaganlage abseits der Küste, an der Container und andere Ladeeinheiten zwischen Bahn, Lastwagen und teilweise Binnenschiff wechseln. Es bündelt Sendungen aus dem Umland, übernimmt Abstellung, Depothaltung und häufig auch Zollformalitäten und wirkt so als vorgelagerter Arm eines Seehafens im Hinterland. Für Verlader entscheidet die Nähe zu einem Inlandterminal darüber, ob eine Sendung wirtschaftlich auf die Schiene gebracht werden kann oder ob ein langer Lkw-Vorlauf nötig bleibt. In Indien ist die gebräuchliche Bezeichnung Inland Container Depot (ICD).
