Braefoot Bay Terminal am Firth of Forth in Fife (Schottland) ist kein allgemeiner Frachthafen, sondern eine spezialisierte LPG-Verladeanlage, die bis zuletzt von ExxonMobil (67 %) und Shell (33 %) betrieben wurde. Den grössten Teil des Umschlags lieferte die benachbarte Fife Ethylene Plant von ExxonMobil, die am 2. Februar 2026 ihren Betrieb einstellte; der letzte LPG-Tanker verliess den Terminal im April 2026 Richtung Antwerpen. Die Fife Ethylene Plant soll bis Anfang 2028 vollständig rückgebaut werden. Shells NGL-Verladeanlage (Natural Gas Liquids) ist von der Schliessung nicht betroffen und bleibt in Betrieb. Als Alternativen für LPG und Petrochemie an der schottischen Ostküste verbleiben Grangemouth sowie die Terminal-Infrastruktur in Teesside und Humberside in Nordengland. Für Speditionen ist zu beachten: Der Bulk-LPG-Verkehr aus der Fife-Anlage ist dauerhaft entfallen; laufende Sendungen sind umzuplanen.
