Rund 100 Tanker laufen den Fateh Oil Terminal pro Jahr an – und keiner davon lädt Container. Die Anlage ist der Offshore-Verladepunkt für Rohöl des Dubai-Petroleum-Feldes, rund 84 km nordwestlich von Dubai im Persischen Golf. Über zwei Einpunkt-Bojen (SBM) wird das in untermeerischen Khazzan-Tanks gelagerte Rohöl direkt in Grosstanker gepumpt; die zweite Boje schafft bis zu 100'000 Barrel pro Stunde. Der tiefe, offene Reede-Zugang von über 36 m nimmt VLCC bis rund 350'000 dwt mit 27,4 m Tiefgang auf. Eine Hinterland-Anbindung im klassischen Sinn fehlt: Es gibt weder Kai noch Stückgut- oder Containerumschlag, und eine Zollabfertigung für Handelsware findet hier nicht statt. Speditionen mit Box- oder Projektladung disponieren über Jebel Ali, für Ölprodukte und Bunker über Fujairah.
