Hachinohe Ko (JPHHE) liegt an der Pazifikküste der Präfektur Aomori in Nordhonshu und kombiniert als einer der wenigen japanischen Häfen bedeutende Fischereiaktivitäten mit einem leistungsfähigen Industrieterminal. Daneben bedient Hachinohe Fährdienste nach Tomakomai (Hokkaido) sowie Passagier- und Kreuzfahrtanläufe. Als wichtigstes Distributionszentrum der Tohoku-Region erschliesst der Hafen das wirtschaftliche Hinterland über gut ausgebaute Strassenverbindungen. Alternativen für grössere Umschlagvolumen: Sendai-Shiogama oder die Keihin-Häfen Tokyo/Yokohama.
