Namura Shipbuilding prägt Imari: Auf der Imari-Werft am Rand der Bucht entstehen Massengutfrachter, Tanker und Gastanker, 2024 etwa zwei Capesize-Bulker für die Foremost Group. Die Anlage kann Schiffe bis rund 450 Meter Länge aufnehmen, was die industrielle Ausrichtung dieses Platzes an der Koreastrasse im Norden der Präfektur Saga unterstreicht. Mit einer Fahrrinnentiefe von etwa 14 Metern eignet sich Imari für tiefgehende Einheiten und industriellen Schwer- und Stückgutumschlag rund um Schiffbau und Zulieferindustrie.
