Zellstoff, Holz, Stahl und Agrarprodukte prägen den Umschlag im galicischen Hafen von Marín an der Ría de Pontevedra. Bemerkenswert ist die hohe Bahnaffinität: 2025 liefen rund 396'000 Tonnen über die Schiene, womit Marín zu den am stärksten bahnintegrierten Häfen Spaniens zählt. Das Hinterland Galiciens wird so über Strasse und Schiene erschlossen. Für grosse Containervolumen ist das nahe Vigo die naheliegende Alternative, ergänzt durch A Coruña und Vilagarcía.
