An der wilden Westküste von Vancouver Island bildet der Meeresarm Port San Juan die Bucht von Port Renfrew (British Columbia). Holzwirtschaft und Fischerei prägten den Ort über Jahrzehnte, doch mit dem Rückzug des Grossholzeinschlags um 1990 verlor die Bucht ihre kommerzielle Frachtfunktion. Heute gibt es lediglich einen öffentlichen Steg mit begrenzten Liegeplätzen – Container-, Stückgut- oder Zollabfertigung findet nicht statt. Für Seefracht nach Süd-Vancouver-Island nutzen Speditionen die Häfen von Victoria oder Vancouver.
